Role Title: Data Integrity Analyst Department: Business Data (Operations) Team: Data and Analytics Location: London Type: Permanent About the Role: Data Integrity Analyst will be expected to work across the team, supporting both the Head of Data and Data Integrity Manager to ensure team objectives and wider business initiatives are met. These will include:
- Coordination and management of key regulatory activities (operational)
- Support the business in the identification of data deficiencies and their proposed solutions
- Promote the use of DQPro to the wider business to support data quality initiatives
- Work closely with Senior/Management, Senior Data Integrity Analyst, LMRe Data Analyst and respective business areas to implement change effectively
- Provide detailed research, recommendations, and high-quality analytics to support key data and operational initiatives
- To be the main point of contact for all e-trading matters for internal stakeholders
- Support the Data Integrity Manager and Head of Data with data initiatives and strategic projects
About the Team: The Data Integrity Team reports into the Head of Data, who in turn reports into the Chief Data Officer. The team are responsible for supporting the business in the implementation of operational and technical data solutions, working closely with Underwriting, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Data Governance, MI, and IT. The Data Integrity team currently consists of 3 members, as part of a wider London based team of 14. We also partner with 2 external offshore teams, totalling 10 additional team members. Key Responsibilities:
- Management and completion of assigned regulatory tasks, ensuring timely delivery in accordance with key business deadlines
- Management of e-trading platform(s) (PPL and Whitespace) onboarding and approval process
- Reconciliation of e-trading (PPL and Whitespace) user and stamp accesses and authorities
- Key member of Data Integrity, Source System Change and DQPro working groups
- Point of contact for all PAS (Iris/Genius) change requests, working with the business requestors, approvers, and developers to prioritise, test, implement and communicate changes effectively
- Escalate data issues where required and work with relevant parties to resolve, maintaining a proactive approach in keeping relevant parties informed of significant or challenging issues
- Provide analytical support to the Data Validation team, assisting in the creation of data quality rules in DQPro in accordance with agreed SLA’s
- Assist Risk and Compliance in the reporting of data control failures
- Ensure the provision of accurate and timely data, appropriate for the needs of senior leadership and other supporting business functions
- Seeking opportunities across all areas of LSM to improve data quality and implement data-focused solutions
- Develop awareness of market initiatives that will impact LSM and drive data initiatives forward
- Assist with Audit, Risk and Compliance to ensure that key data controls are effective
Skills and Experience
- Ability to analyse and interrogate data
- Experience managing or producing regulatory reporting i.e. Lloyds PMD, Surplus Lines Premium Reporting, Part VII
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple initiatives
- Ability to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external stakeholders
- Clear demonstration of adherence to strict legal/regulatory deadlines
- Knowledge of Insurance and London Markets practices, including legal and regulatory requirements
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to present options with benefit and risks to wider business groups
- Drive change initiatives, proven background in delivering business change successfully
- Able to work independently and as a member of a high performing team to accomplish goals and objectives
- Knowledge of LSM’s Underwriting Systems (Iris/Genius)
- Experience working with DQPro and JIRA is preferred
- Strong writing skills – formal documentation, business proposals, memo’s
- Good knowledge of Microsoft systems – intermediate/advanced in Excel
