Making A Difference as A Leisure Assistant in Leisure, Place Services Directorate 2 x 18 hours per week posts Calling all Lifeguardsā€¦ We want you! Do you hold a lifeguard qualification? Think you would you enjoy working in a leisure environment and become a great asset to our front-line customer service team? If so, dive into this role with passion, motivation, and creativity to deliver outstanding customer service for Go Active. Queens Park Health and Fitness is looking for a suitably experienced individual with excellent customer care skills to work in the Council's Health & Fitness facility. Ideally, we are looking for people with first-hand experience of working in the Leisure Industry, who enjoy working as part of a team and have excellent communication skills with a good understanding of service delivery. Day to day duties will include swimming pool supervision, general cleaning and housekeeping tasks and equipment set up. Each of these tasks requires a high level of interaction and communication with customers, including the completion of customer facility tours. You will be required to work shifts including evenings, early mornings and weekends and we need a commitment to working flexibly to meet the needs of the service, to provide cover for colleagues and to attend training when required. If you hold a current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification Certificate or are willing to gain the qualification within 12 weeks of commencement and have the skills and experience to add value to our service, then we would like to hear from you. PLEASE NOTE: The National Pool Lifeguard Qualification an essential criterion for both vacancies:
  • The contract is working an average of 18hrs per week on a 2-week shift rota.
