What is the opportunity?

The role will joining the BlueBay Application Support team, comprised of team of analysts based in the UK, US and Japan.

You will be supporting our full suite of business applications from front office order management and decision making tools through to back office accounting and reconciliation.

As an Application Support Analyst, you will be responsible for coordinating production support activities for all major systems and related subsystems to ensure integrity and availability of end user applications and data.

What will you do?

  • Provide a high standard of customer support and communication for all business critical applications
  • Troubleshoot system issues and collaborate with developers, business analysts and testers to identify permanent solutions to problems.
  • Contribute to the monitoring and continuous improvement of our batch scheduling tool and processes.
  • Ensure support documentation is maintained and updated.
  • Monitor and provide support for our automated batch processing to ensure timely availability of business data.
  • Focus on continuous improvement always working to improve existing process and enhance business and IT process through automation.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal)
  • A self-starter with strong problem solving skills able to work under pressure to strict deadlines.
  • Able to build strong relationships with team members, stakeholders, vendors and business users
  • Experience with incident and problem management lifecycles
  • Experience supporting business applications and using SQL to interrogate databases.
  • Display a sense of ownership, resiliency and resourcefulness

Nice-to-have

  • Experience in batch scheduling software - preferably ActiveBatch
  • Prior experience working for a Fixed Income Asset Manager or similar organization in a technology role
  • Experience with Charles River and/or SimCorp Dimensions
  • ITIL Framework and Agile experience
