This is an exciting opportunity to join the Bury Locality Continuing Healthcare team for 12 months fixed term contract as a Business Support Administrator. You will be working in an established team with one experienced Administrator supporting the Administrator Manager with the teams requirements. Full training and support will be provided however the post holder will be required to manage their workload and have high levels of motivation and contribute fully to the success of the team. There is a mixture of hybrid working, either working from home for most of the week with the expectation to come into the office one or two times per week or if preferred the post holder can work each day from the office in Bury’s town center. This interesting and busy post working for the NHS is an excellent opportunity to gain further experience in supporting a patient facing healthcare service. JOB PURPOSE The post holder will be responsible for providing a comprehensive administration and secretarial support to GM ICB’s Continuing Healthcare Team. You will be expected to work within set timescales and strict deadlines. The post holder will communicate regularly with members of the public and professionals that make contact with the team and direct them to the most appropriate member of the team. The post holder will work closely with the admin team and nursing team to provide administration support. The post holder will be required to deputise for the CHC Admin manager and PHB lead as required. COMMUNICATION The post-holder will be required to communicate effectively and facilitate effective communication of others within the NHS Funded Care Team with staff, professionals and clinicians from other public agencies/organisations, care providers, third sector and voluntary organisations and legal representatives The post-holder will be regularly required to communicate using various media to service users and or their representatives INFORMATION RESOURCES, ANALYSIS AND DECISION MAKING The post-holder will be required to communicate effectively and facilitate effective communication of others within the NHS Funded Care Team with staff, professionals and clinicians from other public agencies/organisations, care providers, third sector and voluntary organisations and legal representatives The post-holder will be regularly required to communicate using various media to service users and or their representatives The post-holder will work with partnership organisations to ensure that the system is implemented to ensure service users in receipt of FNC and CHC experience health and social care reviews In accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and subsequent legislation the post holder is required to undertake a proactive role in the management of risks in all their actions. The post-holder will participate and contribute to the on-going development of data capture systems to support the function and further expansion of NHS Funded Care. The post-holder will work at all times within the Information Governance structures and ensure all other members of the team adhere to these requirements by accessing and completing and implementing the outcomes of the relevant training PLANNING & ORGANISATION The post-holder will update and input into systems to support the efficient, timely and knowledgeable delivery of the required functions of the NHS Funded Care Team. The post holder will ensure streamlined and user friendly IT systems that accurately record all CHC patient data and financial details. The post holder will ensure support to the CHC nursing and management team in all aspects of the service. The post holder will ensure that systems are in place to accurately record all patient data and review dates for patients in receipt of NHS Funded Nursing Care and keep these updated. The post holder will take minutes as required at CHC scheduled meetings including local review panels/ complex MDT meetings. The post holder will organise and return files to NHS England for Independent review panels. The post holder will ensure timely completion of panel minutes and coordination. PATIENT/CLIENT CARE The post holder will ensure timely update and completion of the patient review system and invite letters to ensure patients in receipt of NHS funded care are regularly assessed. POLICY & SERVICE DEVELOPMENT The post holder will work alongside the remainder of the admin team to ensure that systems and processes in place meet the requirements of the service and reflect and changes in policy or strategy. The post holder will assist in the development of templates/ databases where required to improve the service delivery. FINANCIAL & PHYSICAL RESOURCES The post holder will ensure all equipment provided by GM ICB for use by the NHS Funded Care Team is maintained in accordance with manufacturers warrantee and Health and Safety guidance. The post holder will be required to input accurate information into the financial spreadsheet to enable payment to providers and accurate review information.
