This will allow you to influence the overall core strategy. Furthermore, you will ensure that you build excellent and effective working relationships with stakeholders. Barclays is one of the world's largest and most respected financial institutions, established in 1690, with a legacy of success, quality, and innovation. We offer careers that provide endless opportunity - helping millions of individuals and businesses thrive and creating financial and digital solutions that the world now takes for granted. At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, ‘anchor', days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). Please discuss the working pattern requirements for the role you are applying for with the hiring manager. Please note that as we continue to embed our hybrid working environment, we remain in a test and learn phase, which means that working arrangements may be subject to change on reasonable notice to ensure we meet the needs of our business.

What will you be doing?
  • Disseminating the central content strategy to C&ES partners and helping them in its delivery (execute with stakeholders)
  • Planning events such as town halls, all-hands, skip level sessions (accessible leadership programmes fostering engagement), regional visits, and ad-hoc campaigns
  • Leading content best practice and training (setup and usage of SharePoint repositories and libraries; web content minimum requirements; joined-up content etc)
  • Communicating cascades and adhering to best practice
  • Adhering to design, formatting, styles standards, and contributing to their development and improvement
  • Providing content to a high standard ensuring accuracy, making edits as required
  • Curating online content for the central COO portals, specifically our SharePoint site and Confluence wiki, ensuring that we use best-practice with the documentation
What we're looking for:
  • Degree educated in English, IT, or related disciplines
  • Experience in a communications and/or technology setting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Familiarity with content management tooling such as SharePoint, issue tracking software, and wikis
Skills that will help you in the role:
  • Skilled in SharePoint, preferably SharePoint 365 (i.e. SharePoint Online)
  • Excellent computer literacy and familiarity with fundamental IT concepts
  • Familiarity and/or experience with principles of Design and/or UX (web development)
  • Familiarity and/or experience with structured query language (SQL) considered a plus

A place where everyone can bring their true selves to work and reach their full potential. Home to 5,000 of our colleagues, our Tradeston campus will support the community in more ways than one - by creating thousands of new career opportunities and celebrating local artists.
