Our Enterprise Technology Business are looking for a Global Head of Communications and Brand Technology professional who will be responsible for leading a global team supporting major intranet, internal communications, public web site and external marketing requirements throughout the group. Communications and Brand Technology provides a central services team to support, facilitate and progress technology provision requests from Global Marketing and Global Communications.

Job Requirements:

  • Role holder will be senior accountable Technology executive facing the global Communications and Brand functions. In this role, the job holder will lead a global team supporting major intranet, internal communications, public web site, external marketing and communications requirements throughout the Group. Additionally, the role holder will act as an interface for these functions for their broader technical requirements provided by other cross functional technology teams.
  • The role holder is also accountable for ensuring delivery of technology services to plan in conjunction with these business stakeholders, programme governance and oversight from a tech perspective, participation in key steering and governance fora run by Marketing and Communications, escalation management, strategic planning and guiding technology solution selection and strategy for the domain.
  • The role holder also must maintain senior vendor relationships with key specialist vendors supporting Marketing and Communications technology systems including Microsoft, Akamai, and Sitecore among others and providing critical technical advice and leadership to Marketing and Communications in the management of their relationships and projects delivered through their network of partner digital agencies.
  • Global Communications is split into Group Public Affairs and Employee Insight and Communications who are both supported by Communications and Brand Technology. In this context, the team supports, governs or provides technical advice to the business for our intranets, public web sites and numerous other narrow, specialist systems and tools used in Marketing and Communications.
  • Driving sustainable growth/ Develop Technology - Champion the creation of significant, robust and sustainable business development plans. Promote and enable change, to enhance customer benefits and competitive advantage.
Requirements

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience in a large multi-national organisation, preferably in a regulated industry like Financial Services, Pharmaceutical or Consumer Goods
  • Experience in running large platforms and digital transformation - a digital leader with experience of driving end to end digital customer and colleague journeys
  • Understanding of the business context of corporate communications and marketing functions
  • Excellent understanding of process and project management methodologies e.g. ITIL, SDLC, Agile etc.
  • A team leader who has managed professionals across multiple geographies and time zones
  • Experience with large complex Communications & Marketing platforms and operational knowledge of the digital publishing platforms used within the bank
  • Deep technical knowledge of digital publishing and delivery, web content management platforms, multi-tiered distributed high-performance web and digital infrastructure design and architecture

This role is based in Sheffield but some travel may be required.
