We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Senior Product Manager. The base location for this role can either be London or Edinburgh with a Hybrid working model.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the development, execution, and achievement of product performance objectives.
- Lead development of product and project plans to support the execution of the approved deposit product strategies in the UK across Europe.
- Key focus on credit interest pricing for different client segments.
- Ongoing management and development of the deposit products to ensure that they meet customer and market needs, as well as contribute towards the overall GPS objectives.
- Drive growth and monitor on-going performance of the deposit portfolio in line with balance sheet and P&L targets across Europe.
- Drive the delivery of the liquidity strategy for GPS and getting the buy-in of the Customer Groups.
- Identifying local product gaps and developing plans to address the gaps.
- Optimize and grow the deposit and liquidity product portfolio in line with balance sheet needs as agreed with respective ALCOs.
- Ensure that the products meet the operational, legal, credit, settlement risk, compliance, and audit requirements as well as local regulations, HSBC Group policies and internal procedures.
- Act as an ambassador for the team and contribute fully to its development, effectiveness, and success.
Requirements
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Expert in the management deposit and liquidity product propositions, including current, deposit and term accounts.
- Commercially minded and focused on customer outcomes.
- Good understanding of deposit and credit interest pricing in the corporate market, including how the market is likely to develop in the coming years (systems, AI, Machine Learning etc).
- Experience in developing and managing products/services, from design to commercialisation with preferable experience in the particular needs of business customers.
- Understanding of the regulatory environment that prevails when providing banking services to businesses.
- Ability to work effectively with multiple business and technology partners to drive innovation and deliver complex product propositions.
- Strong leadership skills to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced, global, matrix environment with minimum direction.
- Effective communication (written and verbal) and coordination among a broad array of internal stakeholders.
- Results-driven, problem-solver with structuring and analytic capabilities and attention to detail
