We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join the team in the role of Recovery and Resolution Planning Manager

Role Purpose

The Global RRP Office is the custodian HSBC's Recovery and Resolution Strategy and is responsible for overseeing HSBC's recovery and resolution planning capabilities. This includes the preparation of the Group Recovery Plan, RAF Self-Assessment and supporting disclosures. The RRP Office is also responsible for maintaining management actions, maintaining the capabilities that support the restructuring barrier and testing recovery and resolution planning capabilities to provide assurance that they can be relied upon to support HSBC's resolution strategy.

The role holder will report to the RRP Management and Delivery Lead. The management and delivery team oversee the preparation of external regulatory submissions and the development and maintenance of capabilities to support RRP.

The principal accountabilities of this role will be as follows:

  • Oversee and co-ordinate the biennial Group Resolvability Assessment Framework (RAF) Self-Assessment for submission to regulators
  • Assist the development and maintenance of the Group Recovery Plan (GRP) for submission to regulators
  • Developing project and resourcing plans to support delivery of GRP and RAF self-assessment, defining inputs required from business, function and legal entity stakeholders
  • Track progress - manage MI, reporting and analysis when required.
  • Help review and challenge Group submissions and the capabilities maintained within businesses, functions and legal entities to support Group submissions
  • Supply content to assist the Report to Global RRP Management Meeting on progress, risks, issues and content
  • Provide cover for the RRP Management and Delivery Lead where required.
Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Experience of RRP capability design and implementation
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, collaboration and influencing skills
  • Experience of planning and organizing complex tasks
  • Creativity, critical thinking and ability to identify problems and propose solutions
  • Ability to deliver high quality written work with an attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills - ability to present complex issues in a clear and articulate way, to both technical and non-technical audiences at a peer and senior management level
  • Ability to multi-task across multiple assignments, prioritize workloads and work under time pressure
  • Self-motivated and able to work on their own initiative, able to take responsibility for personal development in technical and behavioral skills
  • Able to establish, build and maintain a good working relationship with colleagues
  • Openness and willingness to share ideas and knowledge within the team and more broadly.

The base location for this role is London.
