In the UK, Safran Seats specialises solely in the First Class and Business Class seating markets for wide body aircraft, with industrial and engineering teams in Cwmbran and Newport, Wales and Brackley, England. This role has responsibility for leading two key areas of transformational change for SEATS GB. The first area is focused on Business Transformation, which involves ensuring our 3-year transformational plan is well aligned with business functions. The scope of Business Transformation plan is broad, cross-functional and throughout all levels of the organisation and will require priority opportunities with high level of organisational impact / benefit to be identified within the budget framework. The role includes the management of risk and driving opportunities to identify change initiatives ensuring compliance risks are addressed and mitigated. Key responsibilites:
  • Provide leadership of the Transformation Programme, which articulates a clear and compelling vision of change through the use of evidence based business cases including sound financial analysis and resource implications.
  • Provide effective change management leadership and support so that the change vision is delivered using innovative solutions.
  • Ensure excellent and robust governance arrangements across all transformation programmes and projects
  • Ensure that the Transformation Programme is resourced effectively through business engagement and alignment
  • Ownership of the business improvement process and able to lead, facilitate and coach the organization and leadership team in creating and implementing annual and strategic improvement journeys.
  • Developing and leading a team of Improvement Leads to engage, coach and support the business in implementing this journey.
  • Owning the training and coaching of Lean Improvement Tools and engaging the Leadership team in personally leading and creating a culture of Kaizen Improvement Events that empower the workforce to engage in improvement activities
  • Leading project teams to deliver significant business improvements through the deployment of CI tools in line with the business Balanced Scorecard
