Overview

Montcalm Collection are looking for a skilled and ambitious Concierge/Luggage Porter to join our team. You will play a pivotal role by consistently delivering exceptional customer service to Guests, especially escorting guests to their rooms, transferring and storing of guests' luggage.

Key Responsibilities

The Luggage Porter interacts with Guests and contributes to the first impressions of our Guests and, therefore, must perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Direct report to Head Concierge
  • Offer consistent, high standard service and assistance to Guests and maintain a lobby presence that offers courteous and attentive service
  • Ensure that individual customers and Groups receive fast, efficient and friendly service
  • Ensure that either the Head Concierge on duty is kept fully aware of any relevant feedback from either the customers or other departments
  • Assist with room moves and luggage deliveries and man the Front Door, following all standard operating procedures
  • Ensure the effective handling and storing of long-term and short-term luggage for arriving/departing Guests
  • Greet all guests in public areas and rooms in a warm manner
  • Be highly courteous and give our guests a memorable welcome and lasting impression whilst assisting them with their luggage according to the required standards and above
  • Ensure that the entrance, lobby area and other front of house areas are kept in a presentable and welcoming condition
  • Work collaboratively with your colleagues to deliver captivating experiences
  • Take initiative in accommodating our guests needs in a resourceful manner

Essential Qualifications

  • Excellent level of spoken and written English
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Approachable, professional and an eye for detail
  • Comprehensive knowledge of London restaurants and attractions
  • Knowledge of Opera.
  • Previous experience in a 5* property preferable.

Eligibility

Candidates must be authorised to live and work in the UK. Currently, visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
