Role Context:

This role is primarily in support of the Hiredesk & Logistics Lead in the effective management of their respective requests/orders. A significant portion of the role is the efficient and accurate processing and updating of plant records within the MCS plant management system, in strict accordance with established processes and procedures. The successful candidate would be expected to provide occasional cover to other roles with a significant plant system element.

Procurement Administrator/ Hire Desk Coordinator

You'll be:

  • Maintain safe working environment internally and externally
  • Demonstrate safety leadership by creating a pro-active safety culture
  • Getting equipment out right first time - right equipment, at the right place, at the right time
  • Update daily whiteboard with contracts going out each day
  • Manage orders
  • MCS
  • Point of customer and supplier contact
  • Negotiate rates
  • Manage x-hires - record decision making process - X-Hire Vs. Investment
  • New tasks - onboarding suppliers and customers?
  • Write off costs?
  • Problem solving
  • Placing POs
  • Raising quotations
  • Provide data to Team Lead as requested
  • Maintenance of key stakeholder relationships
  • Development and maintenance of all supplier management administration

You'll have:

  • SVQ/Standard grade education or equivalent
  • Base commercial awareness with key aspects of procurement and rental management
  • Basic working knowledge on the principals of procurement and rental management systems
  • Experience of working with a diverse multi discipline team in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal
  • Demonstrable relevant experience and exposure in a professional environment
  • Experience within the oil and gas industry
  • Good understanding of oil and gas supply market
  • Good understanding and knowledge of relevant supplier products
