Job Responsibility:
Hours: 35 hours per week. Hybrid working can be considered - minimum of two days per month to be worked from Head Office. Must be able to commit to regular weekly visits to Skipton in the first 6 months. What Will You Be Doing?
- The Power BI Specialist will drive the implementation of Power BI assets within our group, providing valuable insights and ensuring best practices are followed. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in Power BI and Azure cloud technologies, collaborating closely with Technical Leaders, Data Engineers, Analysts, and cross-functional teams to design and implement our cloud-native platform.
- You will plan and oversee BI activities, focusing on automation, controls, and data quality, while providing guidance on standards, methods, and tools. As a subject matter expert, you will lead the exploration of new data visualization approaches, develop plans to meet user needs, and pioneer innovative BI solutions. Your efforts will ensure efficient and effective BI practices, leveraging automation to drive accuracy and efficiency and translate complex concepts into actionable insights.

What Do We Need From You?
- Expert Knowledge of Power BI and strong Understanding of Data Management
- Expert in BI solutions, Data Analysis and Visualisation
- Knowledge of data modelling principles, including data lakes and warehousing tools
- Knowledge of Testing and software release management
- Experience in business process and requirements analysis
- Experience of full life-cycle software development and understanding of Agile methodologies
- Exceptional Stakeholder Management
- Technology: Power BI, Azure cloud services - particularly Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage
- Languages: SQL, DAX and Python
- Certifications: Microsoft Certified: PL-300 Power BI Data Analyst Associate
- Curious about technology and adaptable to new technologies.
- Agile-minded, optimistic, passionate, and pragmatic about delivering valuable data solutions to customers
- Willing to mentor & support colleagues, leveraging their experience & knowledge
