About the role….

One of the key functions of the role is to compile data and statistical reports which will support decision making and assist services across the Council to manage employees effectively. You will perform statistical analysis of data, using tools and techniques to visualise and present data in easy-to-understand infographic formats, such as diagrams and graphs.

You will ensure that records within the HR service are accurately maintained in accordance with audit requirements and the Council's policies, terms and conditions, and financial regulations.

You will provide data and information in accordance with statutory requirements, including responses to FOI and Subject Access Requests, and completion of data returns.

Providing administrative support to HR colleagues will include but not be limited to overseeing financial processes ensuring a high level of accuracy is maintained and data and reports are produced as and when required which comply with financial requirements.

You will also provide support in relation to the implementation of organisational reviews, policies, processes, systems, projects and initiatives, including developing and implementing improvements to working practices and procedures, in order to contribute to improving the quality of the service.

We're responsible for the development and delivery of the Council's HR and Workforce and Organisational Development Service; working across the Council, and externally, to develop the organisation and the people within it, ensuring employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver the services our customers need.

We also provide comprehensive and effective HR support and advice to services on the full range of HR and employee relations issues, including identifying and addressing the workforce implications of proposed strategies and business plans and providing support to successfully drive and implement change.

The Person

You will have great attention to detail and be able to analyse, interpret and present data in a meaningful and engaging way. You must be adept at using various IT packages as monitoring and processing of data is a key part of this role.

You'll be adaptive, have excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workload and deliver to tight timescales. We expect you to provide advice, guidance and support to your colleagues using your effective, clear and concise communication skills. You will need to be able to use your interpersonal skills to engage and build great relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
