Based in Dumfries, Southwest Scotland, Gates (U.K.) Ltd is a major international company specialising in the production of power transmission belts for the automotive and industrial markets. Our continuing success has resulted in this exciting opportunity based in our Dumfries Plant. WHAT TO EXPECT We are seeking an ambitious, forward-thinking, open-minded, and well-rounded individual to join our team. This full-time, fixed-term apprenticeship (12-15 months) is based at our Dumfries office, where you will serve as the HR Administrator Modern Apprentice. You will support the HR team in delivering a comprehensive HR service to the business. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience and develop skills in various aspects of HR while working towards a recognised qualification level 5 or 6 SCQF depending on individual: Key responsibilities:
  • Assist with HR administrative tasks and maintain employee records.
  • Provide first-line HR advice and support employee engagement activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and employment legislation.
  • Payroll administration.
  • Data analysis.
ABOUT YOU Required Experience:
  • Educated to National 5 level or equivalent at Grade A-C. Minimum of 1 in STEM subject.
Required Skills:
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Some experience in Microsoft Office adventagous.
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
