Senior Payments Business Analyst - JP Morgan - London - Hybrid

We are seeking a number of Senior Payments Business Analysts to join JP Morgan in London. Candidates must have recent payments experience as a Business Analyst preferably with experience focused on projects in Saudi Arabia or the UAE.

Role Summary

The EMEA Payment Rails Product Development team is responsible for the delivery of numerous strategic project and programme deliverables for the Payments business.

The EMEA Payment Rails Product Development team is seeking a Senior Payments Business Analyst who will support both ongoing projects and BAU daily management of a specific Product within the portfolio that requires implementation of regulatory changes in 2024 and a migration of the business from an external vendor service to an in-house J.P. Morgan owned service in 2025.

The candidate will be responsible for analyzing existing business process to ensure optimization, validation of controls across the business, supporting internal audit processes and supporting daily execution of management of the product.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analysis of existing processes and operating models, with presentation to senior management on recommendations of process improvements and efficiency.
  • Engage key stakeholders, manage project work streams and all associated activities to support implementation of initiatives from initiation phase through to post implementation review
  • Chair regular wider stakeholder meetings, documenting actions and tracking progress to completion
  • Proactively identify risk and control issues in current processes, and look to resolve those issues and mitigate risks
  • Collaborate to resolve challenges and escalate to stakeholders / the Management team as appropriate
  • Ensure the development of end-to-end operating models that are strategic and scalable where possible
  • Develop, review and maintain functional procedures aligned to internal audit controls
  • Review the effectiveness of implementation and endeavor to identify ways to improve the way we work
  • Support the global team to develop best practice standards and consistency.
  • Escalation of issues in a timely manner and undertake necessary steps to ensure resolution and root cause analysis

Qualifications:

  • Experience in Business analysis and business transformation
  • Payments or other related financial services experience preferred; knowledge of FCA Consumer Duty industry regulation is a plus but not essential
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and presentations skills targeting various stakeholders
  • Intermediate/Advanced experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent analytical and logical thinking to understand and analyze complex business problems
  • Strong data analysis skills, including analysis of operational, process, and financial data
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, detail-oriented, and strong interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Ability to analyze and resolve project-related issues and follow through with set objectives
  • Experience with emerging technologies and the latest digital tools is a plus
  • Experience working with geographically distributed and culturally diverse work-groups
  • Ability to develop strong partnerships across lines of business to achieve goals
  • Proven ability to achieve quality results in a high-pressure, rapidly changing environment requiring flexibility / adaptability to changeable directives.

*Please note that this role will be working on a hybrid model of 3 days office based and up to 2 days wfh.*

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £80,000.00-£110,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • No weekends
