An exciting opportunity has become available to join Imperial College Healthcare's Business Intelligence Team. We are looking for a talented, highly motivated person to develop information systems for the Medical Director's Office. There will be a particular emphasis in this role on developing within a Microsoft SQL Server development environment and/or an Apache Spark big data processing environment - creating algorithms and pipelines to ingest and transform data into information systems and solutions capable of answering clinical and operational requirements. You will be expected to: Liaise with senior clinical stakeholders, system suppliers and operational staff in order to clarify requirements and develop systems which pioneer use of digital systems to transform patient care Manage projects and timelines working with developers and system administrators to deliver in accordance with tight deadlines Ensure efficient and optimum reporting systems are developed to meet reporting/monitoring requirements using a range of technologies and ensure the ongoing maintenance and optimisation of these information systems Be a subject matter expert in the technical and data infrastructure of digital solutions You must already be an expert information system developer and preferably have had exposure developing algorithms in Python/pyspark. As a minimum expert level experience of SQL server is expected. The role is a hybrid role based at the St Mary's site in Paddington and working from home. To be part of a team providing complete, accurate and timely Business Intelligence to support performance, research and education. The Deputy Data Warehouse Manager provides management of and direction for the maintenance and development of this important Trust asset. The role provides specialist advice where required and oversees internal and external technical resources. S/he will be responsible for providing a service that supports reporting and analytics to internal customers and mandatory reports to external stakeholders. Working collaboratively with stakeholders, the role supports the Data Warehouse Manager to prioritise areas for development. The Deputy Data Warehouse Manager reports directly to the Data Warehouse Manager and deputises in his/her absence. The post holder will be responsible for managing data warehouse team members and leading projects.
