Position: Regional Asset Manager Location: Remote-Field Based (East Of England, Midlands up to some of the North of England) Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time) Shift pattern: Monday - Friday 37.5 hours - with regular travel. (will need to be flexible as may be called out in the nighttime)

What does this job involve?
- Responsible for all aspects of fleet True Cost of Ownership (TCO), supplier management, post incident investigation, business account support and compliance auditing. This is a dynamic role requiring flexibility, commitment and drive.
- Assess operations to ensure compliance with transport and safety legislation plus adherence to DHL policies and procedures whilst delivering world class true cost of ownership (TCO).
- Manage and support operations to achieve excellent true cost of ownership (TCO).
- Cost effectively ensure fleet and MHE assets and equipment are maintained to DVSA, HSE and manufacturers' legal and safety standards.
- Manage and undertake performance reviews with suppliers of MHE, vehicles, trailers and ancillary equipment goods and maintenance services including internal and external providers
- Liaise and coach operations to protect the company's activities, reputation and public image by effectively liaising with officials from enforcement or legislative bodies e.g. DVSA, HSE, etc.
- Investigate major incidents and legislative non-compliance to identify root causes and recommend solutions to prevent recurrence.
We are looking for people who:
- Transport Knowledge / Transport Legislation is desirable
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Previous Supply Chain experience, ideally working in a transport role such as FLM, Compliance Manager, Transport Manager
- Driving licence is essential for this role
- Transport Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
- Engineering qualification is desirable.
