About the team

Our dynamic team are looking for a Safeguarding Practitioner to join us to contribute effectively and professionally to the work of the Specialist Adult Safeguarding team, to fulfil Hertfordshire County Council's Adult Safeguarding responsibilities in line with Section 42 of the Care Act and working within Hertfordshire safeguarding frameworks. The values and principles of Making Safeguarding Personal are intrinsic to the operations of the team.

About the role

The role entails:

  • completing information gathering,
  • Assessing risk
  • Providing information and advice
  • Undertaking Safeguarding Investigations under the direction of a lead manager
  • Working with other organisations to achieve positive outcomes for adults and carers.
  • Accurately recording and keeping records up to date
About you

Essential

  • Social work qualification and registration with Social Work England
  • Relevant knowledge on the Care Act, to work within policy frameworks and work with the County's IT systems.
  • Good communication skills
  • Work within HCC defined values and behaviours(RISE)

Desirable:

  • Skills and experience with risk assessments and partnership working.
