Job Responsibility:
About The Service Housing Options provide assistance, and the Council's corporate duty to help clients who are homeless or under threat of becoming homeless. The service provides assistance to often vulnerable people when they are at greatest need.
About the job Prevention Officers will complete homeless assessments and then help clients to remain in their homes or help them find and move into new accommodation through innovative solutions.
The post holder will provide a case worker bespoke service to clients, working with them to understand how their housing problem occurred and how to resolve this and help prevent issues occurring again in the future.
What We Are Looking For From You The post holder will need to have; team-working skills, the ability to produce innovative solutions and be forward-thinking to help develop the service. The post holder will be required to provide excellent outcomes for vulnerable clients and high-quality customer service.
Experience of homeless legislation and working with the public will be an advantage. You may be required to work until 19:00 hours to meet the demands of a very busy service.
Additional information This post is Temporary until 31/03/2025.
