The role

We are seeking two bright and enthusiastic Legal Analyst interns to join our team for a month starting August 12th until September 6th. Reporting directly to our Head of AI, you will use your legal knowledge to play a crucial role in expanding our AI capabilities and enhancing our NLP codebase.

Applications are open to all early-career individuals. However, due to the nature of the projects you will be working on, we especially encourage German speakers to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the AI team in labelling and testing Definely's plugin for AI model feedback tools.
  • Analyse and categorise documents based on the types of legal content.
  • Analyse and categorise information within documents, such as clauses and references, for ML development.
  • Assist the AI Team with legal expertise for ML applications in the legal field.
  • Working with legal teams to plan and execute the use of legal tech tools to support projects.

About you

Requirements:

Our ideal candidate will have a combination of the following qualities:

  • Law graduates with an interest in or understanding of legal technology, AI, and machine learning.
  • Paralegals or similar professionals with at least one year of experience in legal document analysis and contract review.
  • Fluency in German (both reading and writing) is highly preferred.
  • Team players eager to thrive in a small, dynamic team within the LegalTech industry.
  • Proactive and self-motivated individuals who can work independently under pressure.
  • A can-do attitude, a willingness to learn, and a determination to master our solutions and tools.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Strong project management and data analysis capabilities.
