Navigating the Role: Interim Credit Controller - 4-Month Contract, London, UK OTG is on the lookout for a
skilled and experienced Credit Controller for an impactful 4-month interim role based in London. This is a fantastic opportunity to bring your expertise to a fast-growing, innovative organization backed by one of the UK's top private equity firms, making waves across the maritime tech industry. As Interim Credit Controller, you'll dive into complex, high-volume invoicing processes for our global client base. This role calls for a tenacious professional with the agility to tackle international invoicing challenges, maintain seamless credit control, and build strong, effective relationships with key stakeholders.

Navigating the position:
Principal Accountabilities- Manage Invoicing & Credit Note Cycle: Oversee the full cycle for OTG customer invoicing and credit notes.
- Resolve Invoicing Queries: Lead escalation and resolution efforts for invoicing issues that may result in slow or non-payment.
- Policy Development: Develop, refine, and implement group invoicing processes and policies to support consistent and efficient billing.
Daily Role:
- Efficient Invoice Issuance: Organize tasks and resources to ensure timely, accurate invoicing for all customers.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with colleagues and stakeholders to resolve invoicing issues, identifying root causes and implementing both short- and long-term improvements.
- Invoicing Backlog Management: Monitor and manage any invoicing backlog, maintaining it at an acceptable level and reporting progress regularly.
- Revenue Reconciliation: Reconcile revenue records timely and perform checks against budget and forecasts.
- Invoice Query Identification: Proactively identify potential delays or issues that may impact timely payment.
- Monthly Targets & Ledger Maintenance: Meet monthly resolution targets and maintain clean, accurate sub-ledger accounts.
- Revenue Analysis & Reporting: Prepare revenue analysis with department heads for comprehensive monitoring and reporting.
- Ad-Hoc Reporting: Generate additional reports as needed to support financial analysis and operations.
Recommended to bring on board
Experience: Minimum of 4 years in invoicing or finance roles, with familiarity in managing multiple AR ledgers.
Currency & Tax Knowledge: Skilled in handling multi-currency sales invoices, receipts, and understanding VAT/tax regulations.
Subscription Billing: Proficient in subscription-based invoicing processes.
Technical Skills:
- Excel: Strong skills for data management and analysis.
- ERP Systems: Experience with Netsuite or similar platforms.
Problem-Solving & Independence: A proactive mindset with the drive to work autonomously and resolve issues efficiently.
Communication & Influence: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the confidence and ability to positively influence stakeholders.
