Position Summary:
As the Design Team Leader, you'll oversee the mechanical design team throughout the product life cycle. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you'll bring your expertise in product and systems design to manage multidisciplinary teams on complex projects.
Your role will be critical in aligning engineering efforts across disciplines to meet customer and stakeholder requirements, including safety, quality, cost, and schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team of skilled design engineers
- Ensure the delivery of engineering milestones, especially for aerospace heat exchangers
- Manage load, capacity, and risk in design activities
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and coaching
- Oversee design reviews and validate design deliverables
- Promote high performance and innovation
- Implement robust design processes and ensure compliance
- Contribute to R&D projects and the company's product strategy
Minimum Requirements:
- Degree in a relevant engineering discipline
- Proven expertise in complex design solutions and team leadership, preferably in aerospace (heat exchangers)
- Strong technical leadership and communication skills
- Proficiency in CAD tools (NX) and PLM (Teamcenter)
- Experience with heat exchangers, ozone converters, and fluid management systems is a plus
