An integral role on the Advisory Trading Leadership Team, we are now looking for a Head of Partnerships to have oversight of the Advisory area working closely with the Trading Director, all Heads of Products and the Commercial Manager to implement the Growth through Excellence strategy across Advisory Trading.

As Head of Partnerships, your role will be to establish and nurture strategic relationships across the business segment. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with external businesses, identifying business opportunities and implementing collaborative programmes that drive growth and enhance customer value. Your primary goal is to expand the business segment's reach, improve market penetration and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes through successful relationships.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Identify and evaluate potential partnership opportunities with relevant organisations, across all areas of Advisory including but not limited to Affinity Groups, Associations, Banks, Suppliers, Directories, Brokers and Regulatory Bodies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within partner organisations including decision-makers and influencers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, product development, and underwriting to develop partnership strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Negotiate partnership agreements and contracts, ensuring they are mutually beneficial and meet the needs of both parties.
  • Monitor and manage existing partnerships, ensuring effective implementation of joint initiatives, tracking performance, and resolving any issues or conflicts that arise.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape, providing insights for partnership development and enhancement.
  • Develop and deliver presentations, proposals, and reports to internal and external stakeholders, effectively communicating the value and potential of partnership opportunities.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations, market dynamics, and emerging technologies to identify new partnership possibilities and keep the company at the forefront of the insurance industry.

What we are looking for

  • Strong leadership skills to influence the strategy and plans across the whole of the Advisory Trading area with a Highly collaborative approach across functions and geographies
  • Proven experience in partnership management, business development, or sales within the insurance industry with negotiation and contract management skills, with a track record of successfully closing partnership deals
  • Strong understanding of insurance products and services, as well as knowledge of industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory environment.
  • A robust understanding of business processes and performance levers and the ability to demonstrate leadership of driving new ideas and innovation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of an organization.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret data, perform market research, and make data-driven decisions.
