We offer exceptional childcare provision for children aged 3 months to 5 years, in the centre of Ipswich. You will join a team of professional, qualified staff in a caring, supportive setting which was rated as ‘Outstanding' in our latest Ofsted inspection: The Lodge Day Nursery - Open - Find an Inspection Report - Ofsted
The Lodge Day Nursery, which is the nursery provision of Ipswich School, opened in 2018 and has flourished and grown in that time. We aim to provide a stimulating, safe and caring learning environment appropriate to the needs of the children in our care, contributing to our excellent EYFS curriculum, which ensures a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children attending the nursery.
We have two nursery administration officers, one who oversees admissions, and one who oversees finance, and both take responsibility for other aspects of the nursery's administration. The team works closely with the nursery managers, the wider nursery team, and with the school's Finance, HR and Estates teams, to ensure the administration function of the nursery runs effectively.
We are seeking someone with appropriate administration and finance experience who (in addition to general administration duties) will be responsible for:
- raising and checking monthly fee invoices, and sending them to parents
- inputting payments for nursery sessions onto the database, and overseeing Early Years Funding entitlement
- overseeing the nursery budget and recording income and expenditure information.
You should have:
- experience in financial administration
- good ICT skills, with the ability to use spreadsheets
- excellent attention to detail.
*Working hours:
This is a full-time post for 35 hours each week, to be worked on Mondays - Fridays throughout the year, with a one hour break for lunch each day. The office team shift patterns are Mondays - Fridays 10am - 6pm and 7.30am - 3.30pm. The working hours reflect our need for administrative and office cover to match the opening hours of the nursery each day (the nursery currently opens from 7.30am - 6pm, and the beginning and end of each day are busy times for parent drop offs and pick ups).
Benefits:
- Likely starting salary £22,684 per annum
- A total of 33 days' paid time off each year
- An attractive pension scheme with 10% employer contributions and life cover
- Smart Health, a wellbeing scheme for staff offering 24/7 online GP and mental health support
- After 3+ years' service with the school you will be entitled to generous fee remission on school fees
- Use of the school's swimming pool and fitness gym free of charge
- A free freshly prepared lunch each day in school (when the school is in session)
- We also have (limited) free parking available for staff.
