About this role
Job Title: Vice President, Diversity Equity and Inclusion
As the Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) at BlackRock, you will have a unique opportunity to shape and drive the DEI strategy for the EMEA region. This role is crucial in supporting the EMEA Head of Talent Management and Diversity to deliver a world-class DEI strategy that aligns with our global goals and business outcomes. Equivalent experience will be considered for candidates without formal educational requirements in DEI.
Duties:
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
Coordinating, planning, and communicating aligned projects to deliver on our DEI commitments and annual priorities
Partnering with Country Heads and Country HRBPs to develop country-specific DEI priorities and action plans
Responsible for partnering across HR to meet our DEI regulatory reporting requirements in the region including Gender Pay Gaps and statutory submissions.
Maintaining expertise in DEI standard methodologies across the region, understanding local nuances, and ensuring global communications and action plans are inclusive and compliant
Owning data tracking, analytics, measurement, and DEI scorecard reporting to drive accountability and progress
Representing BlackRock's DEI strategy internally and externally, engaging with Board members, Executive Committees, and clients to demonstrate progress
Managing ad hoc DEI deliverables for the region
Building strong relationships with key partners to improve and deliver DEI standard methodologies throughout the firm
Collaborating with HR colleagues to develop and implement location-specific DEI strategies
Staying informed about industry-wide and regional developments in DEI
Skills:
To excel in this role, you should have:
Experience in developing and implementing a regional DEI strategy, considering local nuances and challenges while aligning with global objectives.
Established track record of employing critical thinking and analytical skills, employing data insights to facilitate impactful advancements.
Strong collaboration skills, partnering and influencing across a matrixed organization
Excellent communication and presentation skills, tailoring key messages to different audiences
Outstanding program management experience, including organizational behavior change
Ability to lead multiple projects concurrently, meeting challenging deadlines
Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
Experience:

Experience with Workday
Excellent interpersonal and partnership skills
Demonstrated ability in analyzing market trends and a keen interest in the financial services and/or technology sectors.
A BA/BS degree or equivalent, with certifications and coursework in HR preferred
Experience supporting a fast-paced HR environment
Ability to inspire trust and openness, with a reputation for personal integrity
A highly motivated and energizing attitude that inspires others to perform at their best

Our hybrid work model
