About the department The Finance Operations Centre of Excellence plays a critical role in servicing our clients and providing key financial information for customers and stakeholders. Finance Operations owns the end-to-end Record to Report and Source to Pay processes. This includes defining the processes, managing the outsourced relationship / activities, and owning the control environment including engagement with external audit. The Finance Systems and Change team own the Finance Systems strategy and roadmap, as well as providing all finance system administration and incident management services. About the role As the Fixed Asset, Revenue & Leasing Lead you will get the opportunity to work closely with colleagues and key business stakeholders to support and provide oversight of all aspects of Fixed Assets, Revenue and lease accounting. Key Responsibilities
- Global Fixed Asset oversight: leading the offshore team on the monthly end-to-end accounting for the Global Fixed Asset process.
- Global Lease Management: monitoring and reviewing all monthly global lease transactions ensuring accuracy of all lease models whilst working closely with the Global property team providing status updates where required.
- Revenue reporting: maintaining the monthly Global revenue close process ensuring reporting of an accurate revenue position with analysis communicated to various stakeholders in the business.
- Accrual Preparation: Reviewing accruals for accuracy and ensuring timely processing of monthly revenue transactions.
- Process Management: managing accounting processes, controls, and systems related to Fixed Asset, Lease and Revenue accounting.
- Posting Journal Entries: Oversight of R2R team Fixed Asset/Lease and Revenue journal entries and other offshore activities
- Month-End Close: Responsible for the timely and accurate design, review, posting, and reconciliation of all other Fixed Asset, Lease and Revenue related month-end close activities.
About the candidate requirements The role will require strong financial and analytical background, preferably part qualified or qualified with a recognised professional accountancy qualification (or equivalent).
- Ability to leverage market perspective when interpreting and communicating data
- Ability to provide guidance and business support that balances business need and corporate compliance
- Prepares and delivers clear, concise, accurate, and effective written and verbal material/messages according to the needs of the audience
- Demonstrates credibility with stakeholders (relationships, communication, influence and confidence)
- Determined and assertive, prepared to get into the detail to understand the complex commercial drivers of the business
