IPRS Aeromed provide expert clinical solutions across a variety of specialist markets and sectors. We major in security-based environments including custody suites of magistrates and crown courts.

Our services are delivered by highly experienced Paramedics and Nurses lead by our in-house Clinical Team.

Position:

We are recruiting for a Clinical Advisor to join our team based at our office in Gatwick, West Sussex who will be responsible for providing clinical input on all IPRS Aeromed operations.

Salary up to £45,000 per annum

40 hours per week

Office Based with some opportunity for remote working after initial training period

Permanent position

As a Clinical Advisor you'll provide clinical leadership, support, and guidance to the wider clinical team and clinical input for complex cases.

You'll assist the Operations team with cases in need of clinical review, working cohesively as part of the Clinical Advisor team.

What You'll Be Doing:

Using your clinical expertise to provide skilled and effective remote assessment of patients and their clinical risk via telephone, MDT's and case notes,

Playing an active role in MDT discussions supporting with complex cases, manifest screening, and case referrals.

Providing clinical input on flight manifests sent through by our client, assessing individuals suitability to fly based upon information provided, and investigating any concerns raised. Recommending suitable clinical interventions or support requirements needed, feeding results back to our client and escalating to the Service Delivery Manager where appropriate.

Accurately documenting case notes in a timely fashion within the relevant digital platform, to allow for suitable clinical guidance and intervention.

Conducting audits of medical equipment in kit bags and controlled drugs/general drugs

Conducting audits of Clinical Report Forms ensuring 100% are completed

Closely managing the Medical Inbox throughout the day, responding promptly to enquiries and requests.

Being involved in improvement projects and support change to enhance service delivery.

Adhering to and implementing CQC and local policies and procedures whilst working within the HCPC/NMC Code of Professional Conduct and relevant NICE guidelines.

Informing senior colleagues of any factors affecting delivery of the service as soon as they arise.

Actively participating in clinical supervision to facilitate personal and professional development.

What You'll Need:

Qualifications:

Current registration with HCPC as a paramedic or NMC as a Nurse

Previous experience of clinical autonomy

Able to demonstrate Continuous Professional Development

Experience & Knowledge:

Minimum 3 years post qualification as a paramedic or nurse

Evidence of consolidating post qualification practice

Primary and acute secondary care experience

Basic I.T. skills

Ability to speak fluent English

Full driving licence and own transport

Skills and Abilities:

Ability to work actively within a team, but to work without supervision whenever necessary.

Ability to identify and correct signs and symptoms of a deteriorating patient.

Clear and concise communication skills, in particular when interacting with patients and third parties.

Ability to influence a clinical situation.

Attention to detail and the ability to record information accurately.

Ability to make appropriate and informed decisions quickly.

Ability to remain calm and professional in an intense working environment.
