Role Responsibilities
This role requires flexibility and a willingness to undertake activities. Working hours are currently 25 per week, including hours outside standard office hours as required As part of your role, you will be expected to handle telephone calls, face-to-face enquiries, emails, and correspondence using a high level of customer care. Ensure repairs and maintenance are carried out on all Town Council properties, conduct regular visits to all sites to ensure high standards are maintained across all centres and greenspaces. Manage large-scale projects in collaboration with the Town Clerk and specialists. Write specifications, obtain quotes, and undertake procurement practices in line with Town Council policies. Monitor all bookings for all assets working alongside the Communications Officer and act as the emergency point of contact for all centres during certain periods. Manage cleaning, maintenance, and other contractors, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Be responsible for all health and safety issues at all Town Council assets, parks, and play areas. Maintain appropriate levels of stock for cleaning and hygiene products.
