We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join as Senior Manager, Funds & Unit Linked Business Development (Internal Wholesale). Reporting to the Global Head of Funds & Unit Linked Business Development, this role sits within HSBC Asset Management's (AM) Internal Wholesale business.

The role holder will focus on Business Development for Funds as well as support the growth of the unit linked business for the Global Internal Wholesale distribution channel with a particular focus on product ideation, stakeholder management, product development and ensure deliverables are met for product launch time to market while also dealing with other bespoke sales requests and queries.

They will also support the Global Head of Family Offices, Unit Linked and GPB&W (Global Private Banking & Wealth) Relationship Management as well as collaborate with the rest of the Global Internal Wholesale team and work closely with Sales, Investment, Marketing, Product and Compliance to help advance development of the wealth management business and contribute to the development and delivery of AM's investment proposition for HSBC's Wealth distribution channels.

In this role you will:

  • Support the Global Head of Funds & Unit Linked Business Development to develop and manage key relationships with the GMS (Global Manager Selection) team and broader funds and unit linked related GPB&W stakeholders.
  • Support the Global Head of Funds & Unit Linked Business Development on developing and enhancing fund product ideation with Global GPB&W stakeholders, delivering innovative ideas aligned to GPB&W CIO (Chief Investment Officer) views.
  • Act as the coordinator between the Funds and Unit Linked business development and client servicing team to oversee servicing work.
  • Lead on the development of high-quality fund collateral for use by Global Asset Management Sales teams as well as for GPB&W frontline.
  • Understand market intelligence to support product ideation in collaboration with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Global Internal Wholesale team as well as other internal Global Asset Management stakeholder to support timely deliverables.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders on a regular basis. Ensure global strategy communication occurs with regional and local AM teams.
  • Support regional and local sales teams in key countries to increase AM share of GPB&W business.
Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Proven and progressive asset management or wealth management experience is essential for this role.
  • Experience in either Business Development, Fund Sales, Product Innovation or Client Relationship Management for Distributors / Platform / Wholesale clients is essential.
  • Highly organised and efficient with experience of effectively managing multiple deliverables to deadlines across many business areas and in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen and good understanding of GPB & Wealth businesses.
  • Excellent written, verbal & presentation skills, being highly numerate and analytically strong with strong Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills or equivalent.
  • Ability to distil complex and varied data into information.
  • Generate innovative solutions to drive business performance.
  • Strong interpersonal and engagement skills; ability to influence and inspire internal and external stakeholders.
  • Enjoy working as part of a team, collaborating, and coordinating where appropriate.

This is a hybrid working role with the base location as London. The successful candidate must have the ability to commute to this location.
