This is an exciting opportunity to head a small team with a big impact. As Head of the IT Programme Management Office you will develop and take forward the next stage of our Digital Programme, working closely with stakeholders across the University to shape and deliver this critical programme of work. Working with your internal team and external partners you will maintain oversight of the Digital portfolio, ensuring organisational priorities are met and that projects are delivered in line with organisational standards.

Working as part of the management team in IT Services, you will exercise a great deal of leadership, independence, initiative and judgment as you deliver on our Digital ambitions to support our strategy to 2030.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Experience in project and programme management, budget preparation and project prioritisation
  • Evidence of leadership: planning and supporting change management experience or skills
  • A well developed understanding of business analysis and of benefits management / benefits realisation
  • Experience of project reporting and scheduling
  • Effective interpersonal skills and experience of stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience of matrix management across multiple, dispersed, professional teams including technical consultants from different organisations.
