Care Providers' Voice
We are a publicly funded network connecting all care providers across London. Most of our activities are currently in Northeast London [NEL].
Care Providers' Voice is a free platform created by providers, for providers, to:
- Collate and provide RESOURCES for care providers
- Ensure care providers are REPRESENTED
Purpose of Job
- To encourage new entrants into the social care sector through training, qualifications, placement and work experience pathways.
- To support the social care workforce development through facilitating training, qualifications, placement and work experience pathways.
- To work with training providers to co-design courses to support the care sector
- To work with training providers to encourage candidates to complete courses
- To work with employers to support their workforce to develop using training
- To work with CPV team to define the web of opportunity within social care and to support the work to articulate it on the website
- To work with the CPV team to support the workforce to move around the sector using training, qualifications, work experience and placements.
- To collaborate and partner with other training hubs
- To collate and communicate the training offerings for providers
- To develop a calendar of training offerings that can be accessed via the CPV website
- To seek cost effective training solutions for providers
- To create a ‘trust pilot' rating system for providers to rate training offerings
- To work with the provider engagement officer and the wider CPV team to ensure that the training needs of providers are being met
- To work with the NHS, ICB, NELFT etc. to ensure fair access for social care workforce to health opportunities
- To work with the CPV team to promote social care in colleges, schools, universities, etc.
- To facilitate placements, work experience and volunteer opportunities
- To promote the profile of social care
- To facilitate external speakers/programs to improve practice
- To compile a comprehensive list of education institutions to engage with to promote social care.
- To work with the Skills for Care / Care City care ambassadors to promote social care and encourage new entrants to work in the sector. To support the Project Manager on the Northeast London Social Care Hub (Mayors Skills Academy program)
- PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Experience:
- Good working knowledge of social care, health and local authority systems
- Competencies:
- Tenacity and drive to seek new business and meet or exceed targets
- An excellent telephone manner for making initial contact and for ongoing communication with customers and business associates
- Interpersonal skills for building and developing relationships with clients
- Written and verbal communication skills - needed for communicating with a range of people, both internally and externally, as well as presentation skills
