The successful candidate(s) will have experience delivering teaching and learning of the highest quality. They will have excellent organisational and time-management skills and be able to prioritise work effectively to meet objectives and deadlines. They will be able to plan and prioritise their own schedule of work to achieve objectives, have strong IT skills, and be happy to be part of a close-knit team with shared objectives.

The successful candidates will themselves be educated to at least Level 4 and capable of sharing their knowledge with our apprentices in an engaging and informative manner that benefits their passion for the subject. The role will be to plan, coordinate, assess and review the learning activities associated with the apprentice programmes in the classroom and the workplace and to provide guidance and mentoring for apprentices, with a particular emphasis on Apprenticeship and Work Based Learning programmes.

Teaching experience is desirable, but we are looking for someone who is confident in sharing their experience and knowledge with our students. We would support you in gaining a formal teaching qualification alongside your work with us.

What we're looking for

Qualifications

EssentialDesirable Science-related qualification Level 4 or above A recognised teaching qualification or be willing to obtain within 2 years of appointment English, Maths, and Science at Level 2 (GCSE A* to C or equivalent) Assessor qualification - D32/32, A1 or equivalent Verifier Award (IQA) either D34, V1 or equivalent (or be willing to obtain within 2 years of appointment)

Experience

EssentialDesirable Vocational experience of working in the science industry Recent experience of teaching in an FE/HE environment Delivery of NVQ in the workplace or college environment

Knowledge & Skills

EssentialDesirable The ability to travel to apprentices' workplaces Working on marketing and customer related tasks Good interpersonal and communication skills Full driving licence Suitable character for working with children and vulnerable adults Working knowledge of NVQ processes Comprehensive current technical knowledge and skills commensurate with the vocational context of this role Good knowledge of Health and Safety at work in an educational and vocational environment
