Job Responsibility:

We are seeking to recruit a flexible, dynamic, and motivated Band 6 Mental Health Occupational Therapist with mental health clinical skills, knowledge, and experience to take on opportunities within adult and older adult inpatient and community mental health services. This is an opportunity to diversify and expand your skill set as an occupational Therapist to work within and across multidisciplinary teams to enable and drive high quality effective, accessible Occupational therapy care. Posts will include provision of specific assessments, formulation, and interventions, working collaboratively with patients, their carers/families and partnership organisations to develop creative, goal oriented, occupational therapy plans. As a senior clinician you would work flexibly and autonomously responding to service needs. Your role will also be to support junior staff and peers in their development You will hold a diploma or degree in occupational therapy, be registered to practice in the UK, have post graduate experience of working in mental health settings. #TeamNottsHC comprises over 11,000 dedicated colleagues who #MakeADifference every day. To provide a high quality Occupational therapy service which is holistic, evidence based, safe, effective, efficient, accessible and client centred. The post holder will support patients' independence and wellbeing and deliver individual assessments and formulation and specific treatments which are client centred and support timely discharge whilst maintaining occupation at the centre of practice. The post holder will provide active clinical and managerial leadership skills within the team, providing mentoring education and supervision to non-registered staff and students and via practice and work based learning opportunities. To contribute to development, provision and evaluation of programmes of Learning and Development to other professionals. To represent and promote the specialist role of occupational therapy including service planning and development and supporting practice placements for occupational therapy students and support students from other disciplines.
