Job Responsibility:
We are currently looking to recruit Healthcare Assistants on the Hartington Unit, Chesterfield. These vacancies are for all wards on the Unit. We support adults over the age of 18. Hartington Unit is a busy inpatient facility which cares for adults at an acute phase of their mental illness. We are committed to delivering high quality, patient centred care. We are an evolving team which is open to change and developing new ways of working and have a positive profile within the Trust and with service users and carers. We are looking for individuals who are motivated and dedicated to work alongside the current team to contribute to the continued development of the Unit through MDT teamwork, development of your skills, a caring attitude and an ability to provide a positive role model. Please be mindful that the wards provides a 24 hour, year round inpatient service so you would need to be able to work shift patterns including, morning, afternoon, nights, weekends, Christmas, New Year and Bank Holidays. Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (DHCFT) has an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic, dedicated and experienced Band 3 Healthcare Assistants to work within the dynamic Mental Health inpatient services for adults of working age. The Hartington Unit in Chesterfield is a busy in-patient facility which cares for adults at an acute phase of their mental illness. Inpatient wards are an evolving service, open to change and developing new ways of working and demonstrate a positive profile within the Trust and with service users and carers. You will be expected to deliver high standards of person centred care showing empathy, patience and understanding at all times. In this role you will be actively involved in delivering direct patient care under the supervision of qualified nurses and other members of the team. As someone who will spend all your time caring and supporting people on the wards, you will be responsible for reporting to registered staff the care you deliver during your shift.
