What you'll be doing:

  • Managing and supporting the allocation of tasks, queries and input to business processes
  • Assessing information received and providing input or escalating matters for senior input when required
  • Supporting in the review and development of business export control processes and user guides, and undertaking audits of compliance against business processes
  • Assisting with risk / opportunity management using formal business methodologies & establish risk mitigation plans & reviews
  • Assisting with the preparation of training for cross functional stakeholders
  • Updating registers, user guides and SharePoint as required, paying attention to detail
  • Supporting export control assurance activities, root cause analysis and lessons learned reviews. Assisting with the conduct of formal & regulatory export controls investigations & formulate evidence for potential breaches
  • Support the communication of export control matters to the wider business in a clear and concise way

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Experience of working within a compliance environment
  • Good IT skills - MS Office
  • Ability to communicate effectively

Desirable:

  • A background in Export / Legal

The Export Control Team

As an Export Control Assistant Practitioner, you will be working as part of the Business' Legal Function ensuring compliance with domestic and foreign export control laws and regulations. You will have the opportunity to support the early stages of our programmes and have exposure of speaking to multiple stakeholders across various functions such as engineering and commercial. You will also have opportunity to further your career and develop your skills.

We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
