Who You Are You are an experienced UTC traffic signal engineer, adept in handling the complexities of a busy UTC control center. You have proficient skills in UTC UX system along with working knowledge of SCOOT validation. Your expertise also extends to InView fault management system. Additionally, you have prior experience in handling traffic signals queries, and managing VMS/CGP and HVM bollard systems. You understand the operational requirements of large scale events and are adaptable to shift work and potential weekend duty. Having problem solving skills, you're able to manage complaints skillfully. What the job involves As the Principal Engineer at a UTC control centre, you will play a key role in managing and maintaining over 400 sets of traffic signals. Your responsibilities include executing and overseeing a range of tasks including UTC plan changes, SCOOT network validation and fault management on both the UTC and InView system. You will manage Bag and Switch Offs (BASO) including overseeing the invoicing. Your job also entails working with Stratos managing strategy updates for LFC and EFC. Continuous monitoring and timely action for network issues is a crucial part of your role. You will also manage bollard maintenance, handling strikes and related issues and deal with complaints, liaising with complainants to resolve traffic signal issues.
