We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic people to join our Team at Aubigny Sports Centre. Purpose of the Job To support the Service Manager in maintaining a high standard of organisation and operation. To supervise the use of the facilities to maintain high levels of safety, cleanliness and customer satisfaction. To maintain effective control and supervision of all customers within public areas of the building and its surrounds. To carry out lifeguard duties, undertake rescues and administer remedial treatment as may be required, and to maintain the appropriate standard of qualification. To supervise the use of the Centre, to maintain the standard of facilities and equipment as required by the Service Manager to meet requirements of Health and Safety. To carry out cleaning duties in order to maintain a high standard of cleanliness & hygiene at all times. To undertake instruction and coaching in activities. To set out and clear away equipment and furniture. To assist with the organisation of events and promotion of the Centre. To actively promote the friendly, welcoming, caring image of the Centre in assisting members of the public. On an occasional basis to relieve reception and cafeteria staff. To undertake occasional Assistant Service Manager duties to ensure the continued operation of the Centre. Such other reasonable duties appropriate to the grading of the post as required by the Chief Executive or his representative from time to time. Requirements for this Role Relevant Qualifications Essential: RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification. Desirable: ASA or SSTQ Swim Teacher Level 1 or 2, Coaching qualification exercise to music and/or relevant sport, Level 1 qualification in General Gymnastics, HNC/HND/SVQ Level 3 in a sport, exercise or facility operations discipline, Pool Plant Certificate, First Aid at Work. Skills/Experience Required Excellent customer focus and care skills. Effective communication & interpersonal skills. Health & Safety awareness. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Experience in customer facing role. Experience in cash handling environment. Salary:£22,069.00 - £23,671.00 £11.44 - £12.27 per hour (Pay Award Pending)Hours per week: 37 Working days vary between dayshifts, backshifts and weekends on a fortnightly repeating rota.
