Job Responsibility:

This role would be ideally suited to either a second jobber in a finance team OR someone with a background in high volume fast paced Customer Service role(s) who is currently pursuing their finance qualifications London - hybrid as standard (typically 2-3 days a week in London office and 2-3 days wfh/remote)ABOUT THE ROLE

Goodlord's mission is to provide the best renting experience in the world and we're on the hunt for a Finance Assistant, reporting directly to the Finance Manager, to help us achieve this.

No two days are ever the same at Goodlord so what you'll be up to will vary. The pace we move at also means priorities will change and you'll need to be comfortable with this (we'll support you!). But these are the things that will be core to your role and will keep you busy.

The day to day stuff:

  • Producing weekly debtors reports outlining actions required for each customer to retrieve debt
  • Managing our Direct Debit system
  • Managing our overdue debt collection process - this will include contacting customers via phone and/or email
  • Reconciling money received against invoices
  • Dealing with customer, supplier & internal queries
  • Monthly Customer Invoicing
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Other ad hoc projects

ABOUT YOU

You should apply if:

You have:

  • demonstrable experience working in a Finance department (ideally in a similar role!) OR
  • worked in a fast paced customer service/contact centre role (phone/email/live chat) and are currently pursuing your finance qualification.
  • a strong work ethic and are a self-starter

You are:

  • comfortable working in Excel and Microsoft Office or Google Sheets
  • a wizard with numbers!
  • comfortable having challenging conversations with customers about outstanding debt
  • An excellent communicator with the ability to build effective relationships with people - a key part of this role is communicating to all stakeholders, internal & external
  • super organised and have proven your ability to prioritise effectively and meet deadlines
  • proactive and diligent with a willingness to ‘roll up your sleeves', and the persistence to follow issues through to completion
  • constantly trying to improve things and confident to ask questions and deep dive
