Job Profile

Responsible for the operation of a section within the Warehouse function, mainly picking or required items and orders. Supporting the Management Team with the day-to-day operation of the warehouse, responsible for a group of operators and ensuring an efficient warehouse operation in achieving business targets.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will ideally have start-up/early stage experience. A proven track record in hiring and motivating staff is critical.

They will be financially astute with a strong operations and customer service focus and will have a proven ability to deliver results within a framework of exacting standards and a capacity to build and lead a team.

Strategic focus and commercial awareness including financial management, forecasting and budgetary control will be paramount.

They should be capable of handling multiple tasks at once ensuring they are completed on time and to a high standard. An energetic, enthusiastic and dedicated approach is required.

It is fundamental to the smooth working of the business that the successful applicant has an ‘open door' approach to communication.

We are looking for someone who can efficiently finish tasks whilst finding ways to optimise the processes. They will be able to complete their day-to-day tasks whilst ensuring the production team can hit their targets, stepping in to help when they are falling behind.

Operational Tasks

  • Provide direction and develop the business working with the wider team to ensure the delivery of the very highest standards.
  • Ensure excellent standards of customer service are carried out consistently.
  • Ensure production targets are met weekly, stepping in when needed to ensure the targets are met.
  • Communicating with the board when projected inbound units are falling behind so we can prepare correctly.
  • Ensure client customer support requests are completed on time,
  • Update Customers on product arrival and shipment completion

Inbound Operation Tasks

  • Be comfortable completing the checking in of the inbound deliveries to a 100% degree of accuracy and updating the relevant software as appropriate.
  • Be able to process any returns that may be delivered to our warehouse.
  • Be able to communicate with the clients effectively if there are any discrepancies.

Outbound Operation Tasks

  • Be able to prioritise and create outbound shipping plans for clients as and when required
  • Ensure that the daily output targets are met consistently
  • Hire and schedule the required number of staff for the upcoming days to ensure we have the right amount of staff at the right times
  • Ensure that the packing processes are followed accurately and in a timely manner whilst driving constant improvement to the processes as and when required.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Supervisory and Team Leader skills with the ability to motivate develop and supervise others
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good IT skills, in particular spreadsheets and databases and a knowledge of warehouse systems
  • Analytical and numerical
  • Good planning skills and able to meet targets and deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail skills
