Job Responsibility:

Legal Secretary - Private Client

We have an opportunity for an experienced and committed legal secretary to work as part of our Private Client Team.

This is a fulltime position working as part of a busy team.

If you are a legal secretary with experience of working in a private client department and have great interpersonal skills, organisational and administrative ability we encourage you to apply today.

The work includes the following:

1.

  • greeting visitors to our office and answering personal enquiries from clients and other parties.
  • assisting with all aspects of Private Client matters
  • producing key documents including Wills, LPA's, Estate Accounts
  • ensuring that outgoing post is dealt with in a timely manner each day.
  • ensuring that filing is carried out regularly and kept up to date.
  • photocopying, opening of files on the case management system and any other administrative tasks as required.

2. Complying with all policies and procedures of the Firm as published in the Office Manual, or other media.

3. Displaying at all times personal conduct of a high standard which will serve to enhance the reputation of the firm.

4. Carrying out such other tasks as the fee earner or the Firm may reasonably request at any time.

Person Specification:

  • 5+years' experience as a legal secretary in a private client department.
  • Audio (BigHand) and copy typing skills.
  • Typing speed of at least 60wpm with a high rate of accuracy.
  • experience of handling client enquiries both by telephone and face-to-face
  • Administratively competent.
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Proficient with MS Office.
