The European Specialist Sales team is comprised of individual specialists who focus on individual sectors, are client facing and an integral part of the trading floor. The specialist salesperson is a central point of contact on their sector across research, generalist sales, salestraders, trading, derivatives and banking. Our clients are some of the largest asset managers and hedge funds globally. Our aim is to be experts in our stocks - but also to provide a shorter term, more commercial view on how the stocks will trade. We're a close partner with banking on IPOs, capital raises and secondary market block sales-providing market feedback and colour on valuations. As Vice President or Executive Director in the team you will lead the specialist sales coverage in European Industrials. Job responsibilities

  • Work closely with research to commercialise research calls
  • Collaborate with trading to help monetise research calls
  • Prepare daily market commentary on key news flow and stock ideas within the Industrials space.
  • Attend client calls and meetings on the sector
  • Work with banking on IPO pitches, primary capital raises and secondary market blocks within the sector coverage

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Strong knowledge of the European industrials sector
  • Excellent understanding of equity market valuations
  • Ability to write well and be highly articulate
  • Good working knowledge of credit markets and derivatives
  • Excellent time management skills

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience as specialist sales role is diverse and fast paced environment
  • Organisation, attention to detail and the ability to react quickly and calmly to events
  • Background in equity research, sector trading or Investment Banking

This role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
