We're the market leader in the UK fresh prepared food industry - supplying meals, salads, desserts, pizza and bread to leading grocery retailers including Tesco, M&S, Sainsbury's and Waitrose. About the role.
  • Integrate with key Tesco categories, including weekly visits to Tesco head office for in person meetings. Building strong relationships with Tesco Supply Chain & Commercial teams is key.
  • undertakes medium- long term project work as directed by Line Manager. This could include range optimisation, Waste management, SBA, Logistic initiatives, Value Optimisation etc. Be able to think creatively around problems. Be able to manage both short- and long-term project work, with multiple timeframes & add value to both Bakkavor & Tesco Commercial agenda
  • In conjunction with site planning teams to review and manage order profile to smooth orders whilst generating a benefit for Tesco and Bakkavor - in key event periods (Valentines, Mothers/ Father's day, Halloween etc.) and seasonally peak periods (summer and Christmas)
  • Production of daily/ weekly reports with interpretation of customer KPIs & generation of recommendations to improve performance (Service, Sales, ROS, Wastage, SBA, NPD) - providing ‘so what' recommendations
  • In conjunction with Tesco Supply Planning and wider teams, including Retail Impact 3rd party resource (where applicable) support the forecasting across Bakkavor categories within Tesco - Target positive improvements for the main KPIs of Sales, SBA and Wastage
  • build relationships within Tesco Supplier Engagement team, to understand end-to-end supply challenges, source feedback and recommend performance improvements.
About you. Ideally you will have industry experience within food manufacturing and retail maybe working as an Implant, Demand Planner or in a Retail or Customer facing Supply Chain role. Excellent Microsoft Office suite capabilities, in particular Excel. Be able to build detailed reports from scratch, translating data from a variety of sources and turn insight into action. Ability to manage several different stakeholders across both Bakkavor and Tesco, supporting key projects that unlock improved ways of working or enhance KPI's. What you'll receive.
