Job Responsibility:

The Oxford Martin Programme on the Future of Development is looking for a Macroeconomics Research and Policy Officer to join our team and contribute to our mission of creating more and better economic opportunities in a changing world by conducting rigorous research, creating evidence-based solutions and tools for decision makers, providing platforms for new ideas, and sharing insights through events and publications. Our work focuses on low- and middle-income countries and work towards more equitable and well-functioning labour markets, fostering entrepreneurship and technology for small and medium sized enterprises, and building human capital for a just green energy transition. This role seeks a macroeconomist with a keen interest in analysing how global economic trends impact development outcomes. The successful candidate will employ rigorous macroeconomic analysis to assess the effects of various trends on low- and middle-income countries. The position involves close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of researchers to integrate theoretical frameworks and empirical evidence, with the aim of generating original insights. The position is full time fixed term until 31st March 2026.
