Senior Product Owner (Lending)

Our trusted partner, a financial services corporation that is currently embarking on a digital transformation campaign is recruiting a Senior Product Owner who has demonstrable product experience Lending products (Mortgages, Bridging Loans, Development Finance etc.) The hiring manager is searching for a blend of functional capabilities coupled with technical attributes to help rebuild their core domains within an SAFe Agile environment. This is an exciting position, where the chosen candidate will have autonomy, regularly engaging with C-Suite members of staff and senior stakeholders to deliver digital technology change during a pivotal period in our client's history.

Our client is looking to pay a basic salary of up to £90,000 + 25% bonus + 30 days holiday + excellent corporate benefits to be based in London or Chatham on a hybrid basis.

Core responsibilities:

Understand customer and market needs and translate them into actionable product requirements.

Define, prioritise, and ensure clear communication of requirements to deliver product features using EPICS and user stories

Work closely with the organisation and SMEs to develop and execute the company's desired product technology outcomes

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technology, design, customer service and 2nd Line of Defence to ensure successful delivery of products and features

Stay current on new technologies and trends and evaluate their potential impact on the company's products.

Provide guidance, mentor-ship, and coaching to the supporting teams to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and market trends to inform the development of new products and the enhancement of existing ones.

Experience requirements

Recent product experience in Commercial / Residential Mortgages, Bridging Loans, Devlopment Finance is a must have.

Previous capabilities in functional/technical product transformation programs is a must.

Strong experience leading/overseeing a product function comprised of cross-functional engineers, Scrum Masters, and Business Analysts is must have

Product transformation capabilities within the cloud is highly desired as our client looks to modernise is highly desired

Strong capabilities in stakeholder management / managing third-party suppliers is a must-have

Must have a strong understanding of Agile / SAFe Agile is a must

Domain industry experience within financial services or regulated environments is nice to have

Any experience of lending or savings system procedures would be fantastic.
