What is the role?

We are recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our busy Finance team.

The purpose of the role is to provide a service to suppliers of goods and services, ensuring that their invoices are dealt with in a prompt and efficient manner. This role reports into the Finance Manager.

The role will include:

• Invoice matching to site orders and PODs
• Costing invoices to contracts
• Obtaining approvals for payment in line with the financial control procedures
• Supplier statement requests & reconciliations
• Maintaining new supplier records for audit purposes
• Liaising with our internal teams to resolve price and order queries
• Dealing with supplier queries - telephone and emails
• Adhoc accounts duties

What experience, qualifications and skills are we looking for?

• Previous experience in a similar role within a busy organisation
• COINS experience would be beneficial
• Diligent and organised
• Strong attention to detail
• Excel skills desirable
• Good communication skills
