Job Responsibility:

Data Science Manager We are seeking an experienced Data Science Manager to join our team of data scientists and machine learning engineers. In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive data science initiatives and oversee the development of in-house machine learning models and capabilities across Pandora's entire value chain. You will be a strong voice within Pandora, advocating for best software and engineering practices, and ensuring the delivery of robust machine learning products that meet the highest standards. About the AI & Innovation Team at Pandora: Our AI and Innovation team (AI&I) is at the forefront of cutting-edge AI innovation at Pandora. We collaborate closely with product teams across all business domains, including manufacturing, retail, e-commerce, merchandising, finance and marketing. As a Data Science Manager, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating collaboration with these teams and ensuring the effective integration of AI technologies throughout Pandora's operations. Your key accountabilities will be to:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product management, engineering, data platform, etc.) to align data science efforts with product strategies and business goals.
  • Oversee the operational efficiency and functioning of AI products, ensuring seamless integration and feedback loops within the data ecosystem.
  • Identify potential risks and challenges specific to AI projects and proactively devise strategies to mitigate them effectively.
  • Oversee end-to-end delivery of AI products and services, ensuring adherence to best practices in data management, compliance, legal, solution design, software engineering and cybersecurity.
  • Responsible for cost monitoring, infrastructure health management, and optimization specific to AI related resources.
  • Drive continuous improvement in data science methodologies, processes, and tools, emphasizing efficiency, productivity, and quality.
  • Advocate for and drive implementation of MLOPs principles tailored for DS/ML, emphasizing automation, reliability, and quality assurance in data-driven product deliveries.
  • Mentor and coach team members, offering guidance on best practices, career development, and technical challenges.
  • Provide strong leadership and direction, setting clear goals and expectations for team members.
What is needed to succeed:
  • Academic degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 years of experience as a Data Science or Machine Learning Manager.
  • Expertise in Python and Spark.
  • Exposure to deep learning approaches and modeling frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras).
  • Experience developing with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration Kubernetes in cloud computing environments.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.
  • Proficiency in software development practices applied to AI.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills to navigate and align diverse perspectives while prioritizing product backlogs.
  • Experience leading and coaching data science/machine learning teams.
  • Excellent understanding of Data Science fundamentals, Data Science Lifecycle and MLOps best practices.
  • Experience with Databricks
  • Proficiency in both written and oral English.
