Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Transfer Agent to lead our transfer agency operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of securities transactions, maintaining investor records, and providing exceptional service to our clients. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of strategic vision, operational excellence, and a deep understanding of private markets.

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Strategy:

  • Develop and execute the strategic vision for the transfer agent operations in alignment with the company's growth objectives.
  • Grow a high-performing transfer agency team and educate across IDR teams.
  • Implement best practices to ensure operational excellence and compliance.

Operational Management:

  • Oversee all aspects of transfer agency services including issuance, transfer, and cancellation of securities.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions and maintenance of investor records.
  • Develop and maintain robust internal controls and procedures to safeguard data integrity and compliance.

Client Services:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
  • Proactively address and resolve client inquiries and issues with a focus on exceptional service.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Stay abreast of industry regulations and ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure adherence to compliance standards.

Technology and Innovation:

  • Leverage technology to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of transfer agent operations.
  • Collaborate with the technology team to develop and implement innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of the business and clients.
  • Drive continuous improvement through the adoption of new tools and technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • Competence and expert experience in transfer agent operations, with a strong background in private markets.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop a high-performing team.
  • In-depth knowledge of securities regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional client service skills with a track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships.
