Job Responsibility:

Scottish Ambulance Service - Clinical Effectiveness Lead Adult Protection

The Public Protection team provides evidenced based, expert advice and support to staff on all areas of Public Protection across our service including Adult Support & Protection. The Clinical Effectiveness Lead for Adult Protection will: participate and lead in service development; deliver training and Public Protection education provision; carry out audits with an improvement focus; attend multi-agency meetings and reviews where indicated, and ensure the highest standards of Adult Protection advice and support are provided across the service. This role has a national profile and although core practice is that of Adult Protection, experience and knowledge of other Public Protection workstreams such as Gender Based Violence and Child Protection would be advantageous.

The post holder will be responsible for providing leadership, direction and advice to drive continuous improvements in service provision and outcomes for adults at risk of harm who access SAS services. This includes working with a wide range of stakeholders internally and externally to meet and exceed statutory and policy requirements in key areas of Adult Support and Protection, PREVENT and Gender Based Violence.

The post holder will ensure policy, national and local standards, clinical practice and Public Protection workforce development is in place to achieve safe, effective, efficient service provision underpinned by a model of continuous quality improvement.

It is essential you are a registered professional (e.g HCPC, NMC or SSC) with a first level degree and an Adult Protection post graduate qualification (or be currently working towards this qualification/ a willingness to undertake this course).
