If so, we are looking to recruit to a full-time Library Assistant position at Education Library Service, Winsford.
You will be part of an inspiring Libraries Team, contributing to the delivery of a school library service available to primary, secondary and special schools across the wider Cheshire region. You will assist in the delivery of a range of focused services to our subscribing schools whilst promoting the aims of the library service.

Cheshire West and Chester Council offer a specialist Schools Library Service available to schools across Cheshire, Halton Warrington and Stockport. We currently support around 300 schools with our services.
You will work as part of a team within our unit at Winsford and on our Book Bus to maintain a quality service providing resources, information and advice to subscribing customers, to aid them in the delivery of the national curriculum and supporting reading for pleasure.
You will have excellent communication skills, the ability to develop positive working relationships and be able to deal with varied situations in a pragmatic and supportive manner. You will have the energy and enthusiasm to deliver the range of services we provide.
Responsibilities include assisting customers with queries, operating library management systems, processing and shelving library stock, retrieving and packing resources to be delivered to schools, processing returned items and supporting a range of activities to support learning and reading for pleasure for our customers.
Pattern of hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm.
