Apprenticeship Opportunity: Business Administration Apprenticeship - Level 3

Hourly rate:£8.60 per hour

Hours per week: 32 hours in Practice placement, one college day release.

Are you looking to build a long-term career? Gain a qualification whilst making a difference? Look no further, we are looking for the next rising star to work within our award-winning practice team.

Not only will you be gaining experience, knowledge and learning new skills whilst working in a Primary Care setting, you will also be working alongside our very experienced administrative team. You will be assigned a Practice Mentor who will support you through your Apprenticeship Programme as you complete assignments to achieve a recognised level 3 business administration qualification.

The successful applicant will receive induction and training appropriate to the activities that they will undertake, and following the induction period will be enrolled with an educational provider to complete the Level 3 Business and Administrator Apprenticeship.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The following are an example of the duties the apprentice may undertake, duties will vary depending on the needs of the Practice. Training and support will be provided.

1. To provide administrative support to the Practice Management Team. ie filing, scanning and photocopying and typing tasks.

2. Accurately input, retrieve, and collect data using the appropriate software and computer systems.

3. Extract reports and undertake simple analysis.

4. Support the team to maintain accurate, timely and legible records.

5. Deal with face to face and telephone enquiries, convey messages and transfer calls as necessary whilst always maintaining confidentiality.

6. To communicate effectively and liaise with other professionals in a clear, concise, and professional manor.

7. Liaise with community agencies and official bodies to assist in providing a high quality and efficient service, sharing information as appropriate.

8. To support meetings with preparation of meeting information prior to meetings and note taking/minuting meetings when required.

9. To maintain sufficient stocks of stationery and place orders as and when required.

10. Be responsible for reporting faults in office equipment to the appropriate contact points.

11. Support communications via social media platforms and external communications platform.

12. Collate information and produce draft monthly newsletters for review.

13. Help manage and update the internal intranet site.

14. To complete the Apprenticeship within the agreed timescales

Any other duties as deemed appropriate by line managers.

Requirements

  • - Evidence of secondary school education - GCSE at Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths.
  • - Qualification in Business Administration Level 2 -desirable
  • - IT and keyboard skills - knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel.
  • - Eagerness to learn and develop new skills- Strong attention to detail- Good communication skills- Ability to work well in a team- Basic knowledge of office and administrative tasks is advantageous.
